
About Aleena
Aleena Anabelly A is a lawyer practicing before the High Court of Kerala and the author of "Samsara: The Revived Glory of Indian Art Forms". She was selected as a Prime Minister's YUVA mentorship candidate under a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Education and the National Book Trust of India in 2021. As part of this program, her book "Samsara" was published by the National Book Trust of India and formally released by French Nobel Laureate Annie Ernaux during the inaugural ceremony of the World Book Fair in New Delhi. The book was subsequently included in the National Book Trust's curated collection at the Seoul International Book Fair (2023) and the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (2023).
In the same year, Aleena was among the select few chosen for the Gandhi-King Scholarly Exchange Program, a fully sponsored academic initiative of the U.S. Department of State, where she engaged in discourses on civil rights, social justice and inclusion. Additionally, her paper titled "Bridging the Divide," which critically examined structural inequalities in India, garnered recognition and an opportunity to present her insights before UN officials in the prestigious United Nations 75 Dialogue. In 2025, she was also nominated as a proposed member of the Young South Asia Leaders Initiative. Her research in the field of artistic revivalism also earned her an invitation to the Kala Sahitya Rachna Shivir at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, where she participated in an exclusive interaction with the Hon'ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.
Aleena graduated from the School of Law, Christ (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, securing the Gold Medal for Best Outgoing Student and First Rank in the BBA LL.B. (Hons.) program in 2024. Aleena is presently based in Kochi. Her academic and professional journey reflects a deep and evolving commitment to cultural studies, political philosophy, history, and law.
